Newcastle United remain in pursuit of a new manager after parting company with Steve Bruce earlier this month.
The Magpies are under new ownership after a Saudi-led consortium took over the St James’ Park outfit.
For Newcastle fans, it marked the end of an era of mediocrity and lack of ambition, with the future now looking bright.

The first big step for the Magpies post-takeover will be a new head coach in the dugout, and several big names have been linked with the role.
One of those is Paulo Fonseca, a free agent who was previously in charge of Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto.
According to Eurosport, the 48-year-old’s vision for the club went down well with the club hierarchy.
Fonseca reportedly outlined how to save Newcastle short term and then made clear how he could build for the future.

His pitch for the manager’s job apparently included listing five potential loan signings he believes can make a big impact for January.
While it is unclear how long the hiring process is going to take, the outlet claims that Fonseca believes he has given himself a great chance.
Fonseca won the Ukrainian league and cup double in all three seasons with Shakhtar, plus a Ukrainian Super Cup.
He has nine trophies to his name – seven with Shakhtar, a Portuguese Cup with Braga, and a Portuguese Super Cup with Porto.
