Some Everton fans have been reacting to the latest reports about the potential appointment of Rafa Benitez.

According to The Athletic, the former Liverpool manager is open to holding talks over the club’s vacant manager role. However, his association with the Reds makes it difficult for some board of directors to approve the move.

Benitez took charge of Liverpool between 2004 and 2010. The Spaniard enjoyed a fairly successful time, famously winning the Champions League and FA Cup.

The manager has been known to take charge of his rival. Despite a feud with Chelsea during his time at Anfield, the 61-year-old took charge of the west Londoners during the 2012/2013 season.

The Stamford Bridge faithful never really took to the Spaniard, who proved incredibly unpopular after his previous feuds with the club.
