Liverpool fans have been reacting to the news that the Reds have reportedly opened talks to try and sign West Ham star, Declan Rice.

The Hammers midfielder has been exceptional this season. Rice has helped West Ham towards the top four, with David Moyes having a very realistic chance of leading the club into Europe.

Transfer expert Ian McGarry made the claim about Rice on the Transfer Window podcast. He claimed that both Liverpool and Manchester United were keen, although Chelsea’s interest seems to have diminished.

Of course, Liverpool fans were all over the reports on social media. Twitter was full of comments about a potential deal for Rice, which could end up costing around £80m given past reports over how West Ham value Rice.

The midfielder may well be ideal for the Reds. His ability to drop into defence, as well as play in midfield could be perfect for Jurgen Klopp.
