Yannick Bolasie enjoyed his best years as a footballer at Selhurst Park, captivating the footballing world with his blistering pace, audacious skills, and spectacular runs.

Yet after leaving Crystal Palace for a big-money move to Everton in 2016, Bolasie’s career has entered a downward spiral.

Hit by injury, a loss of confidence, and a reduction in form, Bolasie’s attacking production has worryingly plummeted.

In his 42 total appearances for Everton and Aston Villa since departing SE25, the winger has only managed four goals and five assists.

These meagre statistics make for grim reading for an attacker that commanded a transfer fee of around £25 million just two years ago, revealing Bolasie’s startling loss of form.

A debilitating knee injury derailed Bolasie’s time at Goodison Park, leading to a loan deal to Championship side Aston Villa this summer.

But even playing at the reduced level of the second tier, the 29-year-old has only managed two goals in ten league appearances to date.

Ever since his 2016 departure from Selhurst Park, Yannick Bolasie hasn’t been the same player,  leaving Crystal Palace wondering what might have been if the Congolese winger had remained at the club.
