£40m David Brooks fits Leicester City profile perfectly

Leicester City want David Brooks, according to reports. He’s a player who fits their profile perfectly in one key aspect.

This comes from the Daily Mail. They named Leicester City as one of five Premier League clubs considering David Brooks. Bournemouth have set a high asking price, however, of £40m.

But should Leicester meet that fee, they’d secure a player who fits their profile perfectly.

Flawless fit

Brooks is certainly a talented player. Importantly, he’s still only 23, too. He’s a player with great potential, then, but more than that, Brooks is in the perfect age bracket for Leicester.

James Justin and Harvey Barnes are 22, Çağlar Söyüncü is 24, Youri Tielemans, James Maddison and Wilfred Ndidi are all 23. That’s a huge chunk of Leicester’s present and future all at the same age as Brooks.

If the Foxes can add the Bournemouth man, he’ll fit right in. None of the players mentioned play right-midfield, allowing Brooks a comfortable path to the team.

On top of that, if Leicester can keep the group together, they could be something incredibly special in three or four years.

They’re all talented players already with great potential. So Leicester would have a strong team based purely on that. But they’d also be incredibly comfortable together, with the whole team having learned and grown together.

Leicester are heading in that direction anyway, of course. There are six names here already, all within the same age bracket. Brooks, however, would increase the benefits of that direction even moreso.
