A number of Everton fans, plus some neutrals, have praised Richarlison’s goalscoring exploits for his country on Tuesday night.

The Toffees forward played the full 90 minutes for Brazil as they ran out 4-2 winners over Peru in World Cup qualifying.

Richarlison, winning his 21st cap for his country, netted in the 64th minute as he slammed Roberto Firmino’s back-post header into the net from point-blank range.

Brazil were given a stern test in Peru as they fell behind to the hosts in the sixth minute, Andre Carrillo opening the scoring.

Neymar’s 28th-minute penalty drew the visitors level but Renato Tapia’s goal on the hour put the Peruvians ahead again.

Richarlison’s equaliser proved the springboard for Brazil to claim victory, with Neymar netting another late penalty and then sealing his hat-trick in stoppage-time.

Though the day belonged to the PSG ace, who went second behind Pele in Brazil’s all-time leading scorer list, some fans of Everton and Brazil also spoke highly of Richarlison.
