It appears that Kristoffer Ajer is considering his future, as the Evening Times has reported that his representatives have made a tentative request to Celtic to find out how much it would cost for another club to sign the Norwegian this summer.
Ajer has been a key player for the Hoops since the start of the 2017/18 campaign. Unfortunately, it has been a disappointing start to the season for Neil Lennon’s side.

They have looked lacklustre in a couple of Scottish Premiership games. And of course, they were beaten in their Champions League qualifier on Wednesday.
Some fans may have wondered what the shock defeat would mean for some of their higher-profile players. And it appears that at least one is considering his options.

According to the Evening Times, Ajer’s representatives have been in contact with Celtic to discuss how much the Hoops would demand for the 22-year-old.
It is important to stress that the Evening Times describes the approach as ‘tentative’. That may perhaps suggest that Ajer is not entirely sure what his plans are at this stage.
Nevertheless, the Celtic supporters will be incredibly disappointed to hear the reports concerning Ajer.
The Bhoys have unfortunately got used to seeing some of their key players move on after a few years in recent seasons. And in truth, many would have predicted for some time that Ajer would be one of those players to attract big money bids in the future.
But this may leave a sour taste in the mouth for many if Ajer does indeed decide that he wants to leave.
