Norwich City completed the loan signing of Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp yesterday and Spurs fans have been reacting on Twitter.

The central midfielder penned a season-long deal at Carrow Road and immediately links up with his new teammates for pre-season training.

Skipp is highly-rated by boss Jose Mourinho but regular first-team football is not on the table at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the moment.

His loan switch will enable him to play regular games with the intention of heading back and imposing himself on Tottenham’s senior ranks.

Skipp typically operates in the holding midfield role and last season he featured 11 times for the club across four competitions.

Norwich were relegated last season finishing bottom of the Premier League. During 2020/21 they will hope to secure an instant return to the top-flight.

Signing Skipp will certainly enhance their chances of doing just that, with his Premier League experience likely to be vital to Daniel Farke.

Plenty of other clubs were apparently interested in his services but Norwich have won the race and Spurs fans seem happy he is set to play some football.

Following the move, Tottenham fans took to Twitter and it seems many are delighted that Skipp will be playing regular football next season.
