Anthony Martial’s time at Manchester United is coming to an end.
The French attacker is out of contract this summer, and it looks as though the sun is setting on his United career.
Martial is expected to leave the club on a free this summer, but according to Dean Jones, speaking on the Ranks FC Podcast, a January move isn’t out of the question.
Indeed, according to Jones, there could be one final push from clubs in the Premier League to sign Martial before the end of the month.

Martial could leave
Jones shared what he knows about the £36m player.
“I think he has to continue to look for a new home, even if it is in England, and I’m told that that probably will happen. I know the general narrative around Martial in the media is that he’s staying and he won’t be leaving, but I’ve heard there might be one more push and you think of clubs like West Ham and Crystal Palace who will be on the lookout for a loan or a low-value option, Martial might not be the worst option in the world,” Jones said.
Expensive
Martial may be available for a minimal transfer fee before the end of this month, but he’d still cost a fortune in wages for any of these interested clubs.
Let’s not forget, Martial is on a reported £250,000-a-week at United, and with six months left on his deal, he’ll surely want to maximise his earning potential.
West Ham or Wolves, as Jones says, could perhaps do with a player like Martial, but we can’t imagine that they’d break their entire wage structures to accommodate a player who hasn’t performed at the top level for a long time.
There may be one final push for Martial’s signature, but whether or not he ends up earning a move remains to be seen.
