Miguel Gutierrez is keen to join Real Madrid – despite Tottenham showing a desire to sign the Spaniard.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano.
So, what is the latest on Tottenham target Miguel Gutierrez? Let’s take a look…
Miguel Gutierrez wants Real Madrid move
Well – according to Javier Rodríguez Pascual – Spurs want to sign the Spain U21 international this summer after he delivered some outstanding performances for Girona this season.
Gutierrez has helped Girona to second in La Liga after scoring one goal and providing three assists in 22 league appearances so far this term.
Now, however – according to Romano – the Girona No.3 is holding out for a move to Real Madrid instead of Tottenham.

Interestingly, the Spanish giants can also sign Gutierrez for just €8m (£7m) thanks to a buyback clause, rather than the €40m (£35m) Tottenham would have to spend to trigger his release clause.
Romano wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Real Madrid can bring him back for €8m in June 2024. Gutierrez wants to wait for Real.”
The 22-year-old made ten appearances for Real Madrid before leaving to join Girona in August 2022.
Tottenham should look elsewhere
If Tottenham are genuinely keen to sign Gutierrez – who is also attracting interest from Arsenal – we feel Ange Postecoglou should now look elsewhere.
It will be hard to change the defender’s mind – especially as he was born in Madrid and Los Blancos are arguably the pinnacle of club football.
Furthermore, Postecoglou already has an outstanding talent in Destiny Udogie who can play on the left of defence, so there is no need to spend £35m on Gutierrez.

Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon can also operate at left-back, so that area of the pitch does not really seem to be in need of much strengthening.
Hopefully, there is not much substance to these rumours, and Spurs do not waste time trying to sign Gutierrez this summer.
