£34m-rated Champions League star admits he is 'honoured' by links with Liverpool and Arsenal

Karim Adeyemi is on fire for RB Salzburg and the wonderkid has admitted he is ‘honoured’ to be linked with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.

Adeyemi, 19, broke into the Salzburg side last season but his best form has come this time around. Another, off the Salzburg conveyor belt.

This season, he has scored 12 goals in 17 games for Salzburg – three of which has come in the Champions League. He has also won Germany caps.

Little surprise, then, that bigger European clubs are becoming interested – especially with the reputation Salzburg has in being a selling club.

Sky Germany report that Salzburg are looking for a fee between £25.5million and £34million for their teenage sensation, Adeyemi.

The Mail say that two Premier League clubs are keen on the forward – in the form of Liverpool and Arsenal. They are not the only sides trailing Adeyemi.

Speaking after another goal in the Champions League, which helped Salzburg beat Wolfsburg 3-1 – he admitted those links are flattering.

“I take it easy. I feel honoured. But nothing more. I have my focus here at Salzburg. We play well together. It works perfectly.”

Adeyemi continued on Sky Austria, as per the Express: “First of all, I want to progress with Salzburg. Then we’ll look further.”

Adeyemi on future: Liverpool or Arsenal for German wonderkid?

Liverpool desperately need additions. The January window is approaching, but that month also sees Mo Salah and Sadio Mane jet off for the AFCON.

Both will be featuring, for Egypt and Senegal – two favourites of the competition. It means they are expected to play until the end.

Liverpool lack cover. Diogo Jota or Roberto Firmino start anyway, meaning only one is able to provide back-up. The Reds need a signing.

Adeyemi is perfect. Already good enough, he also promises huge potential. Under Klopp, he is ideal. At Arsenal, he would be wasted.
