Tottenham and Liverpool are among the teams expected to be busy this summer and both are keen on one of Europe’s most prolific strikers.
Tottenham are expected to back Ange Postecoglou in the market and they’ve already moved quickly to tie down Timo Werner to another loan deal.
Over at Liverpool, Arne Slot is coming into be the new manager and he’s expected to be backed as well.
A number of players have been linked with Anfield already, with Slot expected to look at signing a new defender and a new winger at the very least.
And it seems that both Tottenham and Liverpool could be going head to head to sign one of the top marksmen in Europe as well.

Tottenham and Liverpool both keen on Santiago Gimenez
According to a report from TVAzteca, Feyenoord hotshot Gimenez has now decided he wants to move to England this summer rather than Spain.
With that decision, a number of clubs are mentioned and Tottenham and Liverpool headline those clubs, which also include Southampton and Leeds.
Gimenez has been in fine form over the last few seasons with the Dutch side and played a key role in helping Arne Slot’s Feyenoord side win the league this season.
The Mexican international lashed in 26 goals to follow on from 22/23, where he notched another 28.
Lauded as a ‘superstar‘, the 23-year-old very much appears ready to take the next step in his career.

It’s not a bad situation to be in really, having both Liverpool and Tottenham wanting to sign you.
For Santiago Gimenez, it will become about picking where he feels his development will be best served.
At Liverpool, he could go and work with a manager who already trusts him and there’s a lot to be said for that when moving to a new country.
Of course, at Tottenham, there is a chance he goes in as the main man. With Richarlison’s future up for debate and Harry Kane still not replaced, there could be a big opening for Gimenez here.
Either way, it does look like he’s going to get his move and at around £30m, he could be a bargain buy for either team.
