£30 million Spurs man posts six-word message after returning to first-team training
Tottenham Hotspur fans will be eager to see new signing Yves Bissouma in action after he made the move from Brighton this summer in a £30 million deal (BBC).
Bissouma missed Tottenham’s first two pre-season games against Sevilla and Team K-League, alongside fellow new signing Fraser Forster, as Football.London reported that the pair were both forced to fly home from Spurs’ South Korea tour after returning positive Covid-19 tests.
But the 25-year-old has now resumed training with Spurs at Hotspur Way and posted a six-word message on Twitter earlier today.
Bissouma posts message after return to training
The former Brighton man posted a picture of himself smiling during a training session at Spurs.
Bissouma captioned the picture with the words ‘Happy to be back at training’.
The midfielder will be eager to impress his new manager Antonio Conte despite his preparations for the season being put on hold temporarily.
And Bissouma certainly looks happy to be training with his new team once again as he looks to stake his claim for a place in Conte’s team.
The Mali international was one of Brighton’s standout performers last season, making 28 appearances in all competitions for the club.
After making the switch from French outfit LOSC Lille back in the summer of 2018, he has caught the attention of big clubs and now he has earned his move to Spurs.
Bissouma will face tough competition for a spot in Conte’s side at Tottenham as the Italian has Oliver Skipp, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg already at the club.
The new Spurs man may get his chance to make his debut for the club tomorrow as Conte’s men travel to Scotland to play Rangers. The Italian will be keen to give Bissouma some minutes ahead of the season, especially after he missed the first two friendly matches.
