Down: Leicester’s challengers

The charge of Leicester City hit a slight obstacle on Tuesday in the shape of West Bromwich Albion, giving their three title rivals the chance to catch or even overtake the Foxes. None of that happened, as Leicester extended their lead.

Spurs had the chance to claim top spot on Wednesday, but blew it with an abject loss to West Ham; Arsenal missed a hatful of chances and succumbed at home to their bogey team Swansea; as for Manchester City, they were dismal at Anfield and lost 3-0 to a side who they had just beaten to claim the Capital One cup.
