Will this season ever stop giving? After all of the excitement from the previous seven months of the campaign, it was hard to imagine many more twists and turns, yet the midweek round of fixtures gave us exactly that.

Leicester City looked to have faltered slightly after dropping two points at home to West Bromwich Albion, but all of their nearest title rivals actually fell further behind after succumbing to a trio of disappointing defeats.

Not a lot changed down the bottom, bar a late point for Sunderland that pulled them out of the relegation zone on goal difference. However, wins for Swansea and Bournemouth left the Black Cats further adrift of mid-table and seems to have consigned them to a four way relegation tussle with Norwich, Aston Villa and neighbours Newcastle.

As for the race for Europe, Manchester City’s defeat opened the door for the likes of Manchester United, West Ham United, Stoke City and Liverpool to close the gap, raising the prospect of a top 4 scrap for the rest of the season.

With the outlook changing so much over the week, let’s see who made into this week’s 3 up, 3 down.
