Down: Arsenal
At the turn of the year, the league was in Arsenal’s hands. They were top of the table, had an FA Cup to defend, had escaped from a tough position in the Champions League, and generally looked like a team that weren’t going to throw away all of their good work.
Three months on, they now sit eleven points off the pace in the Premier League, face exit and possible humiliation at the hands of Barcelona in Europe and have crashed out of the FA Cup at home to Watford.
The Hornets’ impressive 2-1 win will see them take on Crystal Palace at Wembley, and also condemned Arsenal to a third straight home defeat. Their season is falling apart…..again.
