Much like Guidolin, Steven Davis may just be one of the Premier League’s unsung heroes of 2015/16.

A regular starter in a Southampton attack that is oozing with the talent of Dusan Tadic and Sadio Mane, Davis is a steady, reliable and classy midfielder who has contributed greatly to another fine season for the Saints.

His two goals in an excellent 2-1 win over Tottenham at White Hart Lane moved Southampton up to sixth place in the Premier League, and meant that Ronald Koeman’s men bettered last season’s points total, which earned them so many plaudits. Davis has been a massive part of their success.
