Down: The Stadium of…erm…Darkness?
Playing a football match is very simple. You need a ball, 2 goals, 2 teams, a referee, a picth and visibility. However, for ten minutes, the match between Sunderland and Hull was lacking one of those crucial components.
The ironically named Stadium of Lights suffered a power failure which caused the game between the two relegation threatened teams to be stopped in the second half, with everyone heading off for a break while the problem was fixed.
Thankfully, they started working again, allowing Sunderland to romp home as 3-0 winners.
