3 Up, 3 Down: Featuring Liverpool and Tottenham stars
After making way for World Cup qualifiers last weekend, the Premier League returned in style this weekend, providing enthralling derbies, stunning goals and plenty of talking points.
The weekend kicked off at Old Trafford, where Manchester City got continued their 100% winning record with a highly impressive 2-1 win over their neighbours. And after Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at Swansea on Sunday, they now stand alone at the top of the table.
Last season’s third place team Spurs finally got their season running with a 4-0 win at struggling Stoke, but the champions Leicester were hit for four themselves by a rampant Liverpool.
Arsenal were able to celebrate victory after a fortunate late penalty against Southampton, Watford produced a stunning comeback at West Ham, Bournemouth edged out West Brom 1-0 thanks to an excellent Callum Wilson finish, Burnley and Hull shared an entertaining draw whilst Crystal Palace won just their third league match of the calendar year at Middlesbrough.
