Come the close of this enthralling season, the past weekend may just be reflected on as one of the most pivotal of the campaign for a number of teams.
Arsenal; who have looked so strong over the last couple of months, stuttered to a disappointing home defeat to Chelsea, relinquishing the lead of the title race in the process. Could this be the start of their annual slump? Could it be the kick Chelsea need to get their season going?
For Leicester City, a 3-0 win over Stoke has put them back at the top of the table, three points ahead of Manchester City and the aforementioned Gunners. Is this the weekend they are finally considered genuine contenders for the League title?
Further down the table, Liverpool’s 5-4 win over Norwich could give them the fuel to kick onwards and upwards under Jurgen Klopp; Manchester United undid all of their good work at Anfield with another pitiful home defeat and face a real struggle to get back into Europe; Swansea gained a vital win at Everton in Francesco Guidolin’s first game in charge and will look to move further away from the relegation zone.
With just 15 games remaining, it is vital that everyone starts performing now, but who has impressed (and not) on this potentially crucial weekend of football.
