West Brom have had a pretty good season by all accounts, but a poor run has led fans to the inevitable debate over Tony Pulis’ style of play.

They may have only lost twice in their last five outings, but they are also without a victory in that period, and their performance against Newcastle was as poor as they come. They are a fairly healthy six points above the drop zone, but a continuation of their win-less run may put them in trouble, and this is when the pressure will really pile on Pulis.

When things are going well under the ex-Stoke manager, nobody questions his methods, but in a difficult run like this one, there are the inevitable grumbles from the crowd. Pulis needs to turn it around quickly to keep the fans onside and a positive feeling around the club.
