Up: Kevin de Bruyne
Without doubt, this guy is Manchester City’s star player.
After spending the last 12 games on the sideline with a knee injury, City slipped from title favourites to the brink of falling out of the top 4. However, within twenty minutes of the Belgian’s return to the side at Bournemouth, City once again looked like the well oiled machine that won seven of their first nine games of the season.
Not only did De Bruyne score a brilliant volley, but he was also at the centre of everything good that City created as they completely dismantled Bournemouth. The title may be out of reach, but with him back in the side, the Citizens may just have a chance of dispatching PSG in the Champions League quarter-finals. He’s sure to be a big part of Pep Guardiola’s plans for next season.
