Much of the praise given to individual Leicester players this season has been afforded to the likes of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, N’Golo Kanté and Danny Drinkwater, but if the Foxes are to win the title, the role played by their solid defence will play a massive role, and the man in charge of their rearguard is the excellent Wes Morgan.

Not only have Leicester now kept four clean sheets in a row, but they have also won all of those games 1-0, and the hero of their match against Southampton was their colossal captain. His header gave Fraser Forster (as brilliant as ever for the Saints) absolutely no chance and moved Leicester even closer to the most unlikely of title triumphs.

It was fitting that  the captain was able to supply the winning finish in this vital win. He is a fabulous captain for a wonderful team.
