Arsenal lost for the first time in the league since the opening day of the season against Everton on Tuesday night, going down to a late Ashley Williams header.

Arsene Wenger blamed a wrongly awarded corner for the defeat, but the truth is, the Gunners would have had a much better chance of escaping with a point had the static Özil challenged for the ball rather than cowering out of the way to allow Williams to power in the winner.

It showed a complete lack of fight, something which has cost Arsenal in the title race before.
