Up: Artur Boruc
Artur Boruc has come in for his fair share of criticism this season. Sometimes, this has been completely warranted; his catastrophic error against Watford earlier in the season gifted Odion Ighalo a goal that denied Bournemouth an important victory.
However, the Polish keeper took some important steps towards redemption with a magnificent performance between the sticks in Bournemouth’s vital 0-0 draw at second-placed Leicester City. Not only did Boruc save Riyad Mahrez’s penalty kick, he kept his sheet clean despite operating behind a defence stripped of its captain thanks to the dismissal of Simon Francis.
If Boruc can continue this form, rather than the blunders which plagued his early season, Bournemouth will feel even more confident of survival.
