Up: Roy Hodgson

England manager Roy Hodgson was pictured almost bouncing with excitement at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday, and with good reason.

Not only had he just seen Jamie Vardy tear Liverpool to shreds, but he was probably aware of the demolition job Tottenham performed on Norwich City, led by Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier. Elsewhere, Wayne Rooney took his goal tally up to seven goals in as many matches, finally showing the sort of form the England captain is capable of.

Many of Roy’s big names and bright young things had great games in the week, and everything looks to be coming together for the manager with the Euros just four months away. It may not be the best squad England will ever take to a tournament, but there is plenty for Roy to get excited about.
