After a weekend hiatus in order to accommodate the fourth round of the FA Cup, the Premier League returned in style on Tuesday and Wednesday with plenty of fascinating matches and stunning goals.
Leicester City continued their fairytale season with a 2-0 win over Liverpool, Manchester City kept up the pace with a hard fought win over Sunderland, and Tottenham kept up their surprise title challenge and Arsenal continued their 2016 stutters.
Further down the table, Newcastle’s array of new signings couldn’t help them out of the relegation zone, although they remained within touching distance of Norwich City who fell to a heavy defeat at home to Spurs.
As for everyone else in between, Manchester United wowed the world by playing in a manner that resembled nice football, West Ham continued their European push and Bournemouth edged further up the league with another victory. So who has made the midweek three up, three down?
