Arsenal boast an impressive academy with plenty of incredibly talented players who have been tipped for a successful career.

Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are just the latest in a series of superb Hale End graduates who have made the first-team breakthrough.

There are currently some young Arsenal players who are making waves at age level and now look ready to be sent out on loan to gain experience.

Ben Cottrell

The 19-year-old has shown he’s a cut above at Under-23 level, registering four goals and four assists in 21 age-group appearances this season.

A left-sided midfielder who stands 5ft 6in tall, Cottrell impressed the Daily Mail’s Secret Scout, who compared him to the great Liam Brady.

“In a game he saw, he worked hard and showed determination when challenged by stronger, taller defenders,” wrote the scout.

Cottrell has already made his senior debut, against Dundalk in the Europa League, and one fan said he could be “our David Silva”.

Nikolaj Moller

The 18-year-old, 6ft 4in striker is a relative newcomer at Hale End, having only arrived at the club last summer from Sweden’s Malmo.

However, it’s not taken long for Moller to make waves at the club, making an immediate impact for Steve Bould’s side.

He scored three minutes into his debut against Manchester City’s Under-23s and was nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award in November.

The Swede has drawn obvious comparisons with Zlatan Ibrahimovic due to his position, physique and nationality.

And according to football.london, there’s genuine belief among the academy coaches that he can go on to become a top Premier League striker.

Miguel Azeez

The 18-year-old is a dynamic midfielder equally skilled as an anchorman as he is playing at No. 10, and is also viewed as a natural leader and captain material.

He was playing for Arsenal’s Under-18s when he was 15 and didn’t look out of his depth in the slightest – by the time he was 17, he was captaining the team.

Azeez has been in and around the first team, taking part in training sessions and being handed his debut in December’s Europa League win over Dundalk.

Some fans have compared Azeez’s style of play to Andres Iniesta and Andrea Pirlo, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has tipped him to be a “great player in the future”.

And ESPN think the youngster is Arsenal’s top prospect under the age of 19 to become the club’s next breakthrough star.
