He fits the Klopp system
So far, Klopp’s best results have come in games where he can deploy a false nine, and flood the midfield with tricky, technical players.
If anything, there is less of the high pressure style seen from his Dortmund days, and more of a hybrid of Guardiola-esque domination of the midfield area, with the quick snappy pressing style we were all used to.
Alex Teixiera is able to slot straight into this, almost as a Firmino 1.5, offering much more of a potent goal threat (minus his irritatingly well timed burst of form shown against my team, Arsenal).
