He offers an abundance of pace
When Liverpool lined up against Manchester United recently, we saw Adam Lallana and James Milner playing out wide. Good players maybe, but not able to stretch the opposition to maximum effect.
It brought back memories of Bayern Munich at the Nou Camp last year, minus Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. Adequate replacements, but never striking any fear into the opponents.
A player with pace will push defensive lines back, leaving tricky players such as Philippe Coutinho with the room to scheme at will.
