Aston Villa have been one of the busiest clubs in England this summer but their spending doesn’t look like stopping just yet.
The Villans have made a number of signings to bring in players like Samuel Illing-Junior, Amadou Onana, and Ian Maatsen to name but a few.
However, with Champions League football to come this season, Unai Emery wants even more additions.
And while a move for a new striker – Joao Felix has been mentioned a lot – is a priority, Villa could yet make a move for out of favour Tottenham midfielder, Giovani Lo Celso.
Aston Villa could sign Tottenham’s Giovani Lo Celso
According to Fabrizio Romano, Lo Celso can leave Tottenham in the next few weeks and has interest from elsewhere.

Romano, who took to X to provide the update, says that Aston Villa and Real Betis are both keen on Lo Celso.
Tottenham are prepared to take a loss on the £27m they paid for Lo Celso.
Despite being a regular for a winning Argentina side, Lo Celso has struggled to adapt to the rigours of regular Premier League football and Ange Postecoglou is happy for him to move on.
Could Unai Emery work his magic with Lo Celso?
Sometimes, it just doesn’t work out between certain players and clubs, regardless of their obvious quality.
That looks to be the case with Lo Celso and Tottenham and you have to think that someone, somewhere, would get more from him.
Unai Emery could well be that man and having worked together at Villarreal, there is a clear willingness from Emery to see Lo Celso arrive at Villa Park.
For Lo Celso, a move away would be perfect really at this stage in his career. There’s simply no point in him sticking around at Tottenham and a move to Villa, with European football, seems ideal.
