Reports this week have suggested that Liverpool are ready to offload Divock Origi this summer. The Belgian joined Liverpool from Lille in 2014 after impressing at the World Cup that summer. The 23-year-old initially impressed for the Reds but he ended up struggling for first-team football under Jurgen Klopp, who replaced the man that signed him Brendan Rodgers.

Last season he was loaned out to VfL Wolfsburg. His time in the Bundesliga did not go well. He managed just six goals in 34 games as they survived relegation by the skin of their teeth.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are ready to move him along. The price-tag they want for him, however, may cause something of a stir. The report claims Liverpool want £27 million for the player.

If Liverpool could get that amount for the player it would be a massive coup. Origi has hardly been sensational in recent months so Liverpool retrieving that sort of fee would be fantastic.

According to The Telegraph, the player is wanted by Valencia, who are ready to match that price-tag.

Liverpool need to make some money back after the mass investment in the likes of Alisson, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri this summer.

Managing to get £27 million for Origi would be a fantastic start.
