Dejan Kulusevski has been in the spotlight during international break as Swedish media heap praise on the Tottenham star.
It was Aftonbladet in Sweden who spoke very highly of the 23-year-old.
So, what is the latest on Tottenham No.21 Dejan Kulusevski? Let’s take a look…
Dejan Kulusevski could captain Sweden
Well, Aftonbladet are calling for the £25m man to become captain of Sweden.
Manchester United No.2 Victor Lindelof currently wears the armband for Sweden.
However, Aftonbladet describe Kulusevski as the “perfect” option to take the captaincy within a year or two, describing the forward as a more analytical and verbal presence in comparison to Lindelof.

It would be a major honour for the Tottenham man, as he has never previously worn the armband at club level or on the international scene.
Kulusevski has won 35 caps for Sweden throughout his career, scoring three goals.
Captaincy for the Tottenham No.21 would speak volumes
It is easy to forget that Kulusevski is just 23 years of age, as he often steps up and takes responsibility on the field.
The fact the man from Stockholm is even being spoken about as a potential candidate to take the armband from Lindelof speaks volumes about his mentality, and how he is viewed in Swedish football.
Clearly, those in Kulusevski’s homeland see him as something of a leader, and if he maintains his current level of performance at Tottenham, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him captain Spurs one day too.

The Swede has stepped up under Ange Postecoglou, playing in a number of positions and running tirelessly while being pretty much ever present, missing just two Premier League games this season.
According to The Athletic, Tottenham’s analysts and coaches have been delighted with his levels of intensity and the distance he covers in matches.
If Kulusevski is given the armband for Sweden, it would be more than deserved.
