Harry Winks has admitted to N17 Live that he was frustrated during the entire game as Tottenham Hotspur stumbled into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a win over Morecambe on Sunday.
Spurs just about avoided a huge upset. They had gone behind to the League One side during the first-half. And as the final 15 minutes loomed, it appeared that another giant-killing may be on the cards.

However, it was Winks who ultimately sparked the turnaround. He scored an audacious free-kick that cleared everyone before going in at the far post.
Lucas Moura and Harry Kane then went on to find the back of the net to ensure that extra-time was not needed in North London. But understandably, it was not a day for wild celebration despite the late comeback.

In fact, Winks pulled no punches in his assessment of the performance from Tottenham in the victory.
“Everybody today can look at the game and say we weren’t good enough,” he told N17.
“I was frustrated the whole game. These are the games where we want to come out, be aggressive the first 10 minutes, kill the game and then enjoy it but we made it as difficult as we could for ourselves and it goes from an enjoyable afternoon to a difficult one.”
Harry Winks likely to endear himself to Tottenham supporters further with incredibly honest interview
Winks was perhaps one player who emerged from the game with any sort of credit. Some of the fans suggested that he was Spurs’ best performer. And they hope that Antonio Conte is tempted to turn to Winks and Oliver Skipp in the middle of the park in the weeks to come.
Winks appears to have found several new gears under Conte. He has certainly won the Italian over, with the boss confirming that he plans to keep the academy graduate beyond the January transfer window.
And brutally-honest interviews such as Sunday’s should only endear the 25-year-old to the supporters further.
