Arsenal fans might want more new signings this coming summer but that means other players might have to leave to make way.

The Gunners are constantly looking to evolve under Mikel Arteta and the Spaniard has been pretty ruthless in some of his decisions when it comes to first-team players.

A number of players, then, could well leave the club this summer as Arteta looks to reshape things again.

And it looks like a player they spent big money on could be one of the first big names to depart.

The Arsenal players who could leave this summer

A cluster of Arsenal players are set to be on the market this summer. The Gunners know they need to sell a few to balance the books and enable further spending, and Edu is said to be already making plans.

In terms of those who could go, a number of England internationals could be among them.

Emile Smith Rowe is well down the pecking order would fetch decent money for a home-grown player. As would Eddie Nketiah, who is again being linked with a move away.

Another England international, Aaron Ramsdale, could also depart having seen David Raya take his place.

And speaking of Ramsdale, one of his former managers could look to take him off Arsenal’s hands.

Newcastle want to sign Aaron Ramsdale

According to a report from The Daily Mail, Ramsdale is once again back on the agenda for Newcastle and Eddie Howe.

It’s claimed that Ramsdale is now seriously considering his next steps in terms of his future. The former Sheffield United stopper is wanting to play regularly, and Newcastle have had problems all year with their goalkeepers.

It’s suggested Eddie Howe remains a big fan of Ramsdale. The pair were together at Bournemouth before the stopper moved back to Sheffield United.

Arsenal then paid £24m (rising to £30m) for the England man. He was number one for a while and did well, before Mikel Arteta decided to sign David Raya.

Newcastle, then, could be a welcome move for Ramsdale as he looks to kickstart his career again.
