Tottenham Hotspur full-back Pedro Porro has started in every single Premier League game since missing the opening-day draw at Brentford.
The Spaniard missed out to Emerson Royal in Ange Postecoglou’s first game in England, with the Brazilian even netting on the day.
It was a surprise to see Royal drop to the bench just a week later as Spurs beat Manchester United 2-0 in north London, with Pedro Porro getting the nod at right-back.
But Porro hasn’t looked back since and he’s established himself as a key part of this Tottenham side. So much so that the 24-year-old has started at right-back in every league game since.

During this period, Porro has only been substituted twice, once in the 88th minute and the second in stoppage time.
And in our view, it feels like the ideal time to hand the talented full-back a rest against Wolves on Saturday.
Postecoglou may hand Porro well-earned rest against Wolves
Porro looked visibly tired in Tottenham’s last game against Brighton and it’s fair to say his performances have dropped off slightly in recent weeks.
Since his assist in the 2-2 draw at Old Trafford last month, Porro hasn’t managed a single goal contribution in the league.
Of course, a full-back isn’t usually expected to provide consistently in the final third. But the former Sporting CP isn’t an ordinary right-back as he’s racked up eight assists in the league this term.
But Porro just hasn’t managed to impact games in the final third in recent weeks and we feel he may benefit from a rest this weekend.

He’d be forgiven for needing a week off after playing almost every single minute in the league since mid-August.
Royal would be ready to step in and despite his obvious weaknesses in the final third, he’s proven to be a reliable option for Ange Postecoglou this season.
Due to their fixture at Stamford Bridge being postponed, Spurs will have a two-week break before travelling to Aston Villa on March 2.
But with Porro looking in need of a rest, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Postecoglou turn to Royal this Saturday.
