It may come as a surprise that any member of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal squad is considered more valuable than Kylian Mbappe right now.
25-year-old Mbappe is a superstar, truly one of the world’s elite, and someone Arsenal have actually been tentatively linked with in the past year.

Mikel Arteta’s side still look short of an elite goal-scorer considering they harbour ambitions to once again be one of the best club’s in the world.
That being said, a new list from the CIES Football Observatory ranks a few Arsenal players very highly in value.
The list is intended to attribute a worth to all of Europe’s top stars, with Mbappe only considered to be worth £92m right now.
Perhaps that is because of his contract situation at Paris Saint Germain, however, it’s still fairly novel to see four Arsenal players ranked higher.
And the most surprising has to be Kai Havertz, who is one place ahead of Mbappe, slightly above £92m.
The report clearly rates Havertz’s potential under Mikel Arteta, perhaps a little too highly in the eyes of some.
Incidentally, the other Arsenal players considered more valuable than Mbappe are Bukayo Saka (£193m), Martin Odegaard (£130m) and Gabriel Martinelli (£128m).
Arsenal’s Kai Havertz is now considered more valuable than Kylian Mbappe
Of course, these valuations can be taken with a pinch of salt, but it’s certainly still interesting to see how the Arsenal squad is perceived.
Incidentally, it is Arteta’s attackers who are considered the club’s biggest assets, and yet the team are struggling creatively.

Arsenal fans will be pleased that their side are more robust this season – that’s clearly been a focus.
But they’ll now want to see why the likes of Arsenal’s Havertz or Martinelli can be considered more valuable than Mbappe.
Despite the doom and gloom of recent weeks, Arsenal still have a massive opportunity to achieve something special this season, and perhaps the January transfer window will be important.
That being said, one European club is now very worried their star may leave amid strong interest from Arsenal.
