Liverpool appear to have a real talent on their hands with academy striker Paul Glatzel.

This has been a sensational season for the teenage prodigy, who has just netted his 24th goal of the campaign.

Two days before his 18th birthday, Glatzel scored the winner as Liverpool’s under-23 team sneaked past West Ham with a 1-0 victory.

And then he came off the bench at the weekend to score in Liverpool under-23’s win over Bournemouth.

The Germany under-18 international has recently made the step up to under-23 football, having proven his goal scoring prowess in the under-18 side.

And after signing his first professional contract, the 18-year-old looks like he could be the next big thing at Liverpool.

Glatzel also qualifies for England and has represented the Young Lions at under-16 level but is currently playing for Germany.

But Liverpool will be more interested to see how he does at domestic level and he looks like he is on a fast-track path towards the first-team.

If he can continue scoring at this current rate, it will not be long before Glatzel is a well-known name at Anfield.

Glatzel still needs to prove himself on a regular basis for the under-23 team before he can make the step up.

But the future looks bright for the teenage sensation, who might be Jurgen Klopp’s next breakthrough star.
