Mauricio Pochettino was left furious with Conor Gallagher at one stage on Saturday as Chelsea just about beat Fulham at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are now up to eighth in the Premier League table as a Cole Palmer penalty decided their clash with Marco Silva’s side.
The Blues rode their luck at times. And Mauricio Pochettino will be worried about their inability to kill the game off. Certainly, they had the opportunities, particularly in the latter stages as Fulham pushed more and more forward in search of an equaliser.
Mauricio Pochettino furious with Conor Gallagher during Chelsea win
But every time Chelsea appeared to be on the verge of creating that crucial chance, the final pass was off or one of their players lost their composure. And that certainly happened to Conor Gallagher at one point as he took a poor touch as the home side were launching a counter attack.

In fact, according to The Athletic, the touch sent Pochettino into a rage on the touchline. You could certainly feel the tension building as Chelsea struggled to get themselves across the line.
Gallagher was actually desperately unlucky not to score late on. The 23-year-old produced a wonderful strike which ended up hitting the post.
Blues continue to underwhelm despite winning run
Of course, there is plenty of speculation concerning the England international right now. Tottenham want to sign Gallagher. And he is now into the final 18 months of his contract at Chelsea.
Pochettino losing his cool with the academy graduate is obviously unlikely to have any impact on his future. But it does highlight how difficult things are proving to be at Stamford Bridge right now.
They have won three league games in a row now. However, a Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Middlesbrough came during that run. And their form has been erratic throughout the season.
Gallagher had previously been one of the main positives for the club. But that has not stopped the criticism coming his way at times.
