Well, according to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur want to sign a striker in the January transfer window. Head coach Ange Postecoglou personally wants to bring in a striker next month.

The report has noted that Tottenham want to sign Ivan Toney, but Brentford are not going to sell the Englishman in the middle of the season.

The Mirror has claimed that Feyenoord star Santiago Gimenez is also on the radar of Spurs. The 22-year-old striker is “a more viable option” than Toney.

However, Feyenoord “have little interest” in selling Gimenez in the middle of the season. The Mirror has added that Tottenham have “heavily scouted” the Mexico international, who has “made a great impression” on the North London club’s recruitment team. Arsenal have also been linked.

Tottenham should bid for Gimenez in January

In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should make a bid for Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez in the January transfer window.

I personally do not think that Feyenoord will sell Gimenez in the middle of the season. After all, they are aiming to win the Eredivisie title.

However, you never know. A big offer could sway Feyenoord’s mind. The striker himself could be tempted to make the switch to a big club like Tottenham, who are aiming to end up in the top four of the Premier League table this campaign.
