Arsenal’s summer signings have all made a real impact so far this season, well, almost all of them.
Indeed, while Declan Rice, David Raya and Kai Havertz are all well and truly established themselves as first-teamers, Jurrien Timber hasn’t quite been so lucky.
Sadly, the defender has spent almost all of this season sidelined with a serious injury, but now, he’s close to recovery.
Indeed, Timber has recently been spotted back in Arsenal training, and according to Chris Wheatley, speaking on ShotsTV, he’s actually been looking very good in training as well.

Jurrien Timber has been looking good in training
Wheatley shared what he knows about the 22-year-old and his showings in training.
“Barring any setbacks Timber will be back after the international break. He’s always been ahead of recovery, and to be back before the end of the season was always more of a hope than a guarantee, but he’s back now and he’s training with the first team and he’s looking good in training as well,” Wheatley said.
Exciting
This is very exciting to hear it has to be said.
Timber looked like he was a star in the making in the early days of his Arsenal career. He was brilliant in pre-season, while he was Man of the Match in the Community Shield to kick things off this season as well.
Timber may not be able to make much of an impact this season. After all, Arsenal don’t want to mess with the team too much with just 10 games to go, but the fact he’s doing well in training is just a small sign of what he could give to this Arsenal side next season as he looks to truly begin his career in English football.
Timber is a fantastic young player, and he may yet prove to be the best signing Arsenal made last summer.
