20-year-old Leeds player is about to leave on loan

Leeds United have some very talented young players on their books right now.

The likes of Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville are making an impact at first-team level, while Leeds’ U21 side continue to go well at their level.

However, with Leeds’ U21s doing so well, some players are now ready for the step up to senior football, and one player who is set for a move now is Kris Moore.

Indeed, speaking on the Inside Elland Road Podcast, Joe Donnohue has been discussing Moore, and while he says that the 20-year-old is the centre-back that is the closest to making the step up from the youth ranks, he’s about to head to Hibs in Scotland on loan.

Moore set to join Hibs on loan

The journalist shared what he knows about the youngster.

“No, the closest centre-half I’d say from the U21 is Kris Moore and he’s looking as though he’s gone to Hibs on loan in Scotland. No disrespect to the Scottish Premiership and Hibs, but it’s not the same standard as the top of the Championship,” Donnohue said.

Toughen up

This will be Moore’s first taste of senior football, and this is a huge step up for him to make.

The big difference between youth and senior football is the sheer physicality in the games, and a move to Scotland will teach Moore that.

As Donnohue says, the quality of the football won’t necessarily be the best, but he will learn a lot about the game and he will toughen up during this period, make no mistake about it.

Moore is clearly a highly rated young player at Leeds, and if this loan spell goes well, don’t be shocked if he ends up getting a few first-team chances next season.

This young lad’s development is certainly worth keeping an eye on as he heads to Scotland to get a chance to prove himself.
