Ovie Ejeheri has posted a touching message on Instagram after the Arsenal teenager put pen to paper on professional terms with the North London club. The young goalkeeper was a regular in the club’s Under-18 side last season. Miguel Azeez and Valencia ace Yunus Musah have responded.

Ejeheri, 18, clocked up 13 appearances for Arsenal’s Under-18 side during 20-21 – conceding 18 goals and keeping two clean sheets. With goals aplenty at this level, his stats are not as bad as perhaps first perceived. His form even saw him appear on the Under-23’s bench five times last term.

Now, it has been confirmed that the English goalkeeper has put pen to paper on professional terms. A decade after first joining the club aged eight, Ejeheri will now be looking to make himself a regular in the reserve team next season. He posted a long-winded, but heartfelt message on Instagram.

What have Azeez and Musah said, as Ejeheri signs Arsenal deal?

There is plenty of work to be done for Ejeheri, now. Having got himself into a position worthy of professional terms – he now needs to kick on and show Arsenal why he deserves such a deal. He is likely to face competition from third-choice stopper Arthur Okonkwo for the Under-23 starting spot.

But it is a good sign for Ejeheri, and there is likely to be as much joy as there is relief at penning pro terms with Arsenal. Exciting midfielder Azeez and Valencia talent Musah responded to his Instagram post.
