As reported by The Mirror (27/04/2019; 18:14), Clermont Foot striker Florian Aye is a target for Leeds United.
The 22-year-old has scored 18 goals for his side this season in 38 games and is also wanted by Southampton and West Ham United.
TBR’s View
With Norwich City and Sheffield United on their way to the Premier League, many Leeds United followers have opined on what they have that they don’t. One of the big arguments that keeps coming up regards Leeds’ lack of a prolific goal-scorer.

Patrick Bamford and Kemar Roofe have both struggled with injury trouble this season and Leeds, despite making the most chances in the division, have not taken enough of them.
Meanwhile, Teemu Pukki and Billy Sharp have been scoring goals for fun with their promotion rivals.
So hearing that Leeds are keen on a top striker in France’s Ligue 2 should excite fans at Elland Road.
Aye has not been on their levels of goalscoring form but players have made the transition from Ligue 2 to England in the past with success. Jonathan Kodjia, for example, is a great template for this transfer.
But regardless if it is Aye or not, Leeds United will surely be looking for more prolific attacking talent for next season – Premier League football or not.
