Harvey Blair has posted on Instagram after it was confirmed he has signed a contract extension at Liverpool, despite only initially penning professional terms in January – and Liverpool supporters have responded on social media.
Blair, 17, has broken into Liverpool’s Under-18 side of late, starring in December with two goals in four Under-18 Premier League games. He netted in wins over both Derby County and Middlesbrough, and that saw him earn professional terms.
Able to play either out wide or through the middle, Blair has caught the eye with his explosive pace, trickery and eye for goal. That has tempted Liverpool, just weeks after penning him to professional terms, to sign another extension.
Blair underlined his delight at putting pen to paper on a new deal – though it is unclear how long his new contract will last until, with the club’s website not including that specific detail. Blair thanked his friends and family after signing.

Blair’s aims for the rest of the campaign are likely to be breaking into Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s on a regular basis – and impressing. If possible, even being given a chance in the Under-23 side before the end of the current campaign.
Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to the news that Blair had signed a new deal, and many congratulated him – while others applauded their club for getting a deal done early, for the teenage attacker.
