Ethan Nwaneri has now been tipped as Arsenal’s best academy prospect and he could make history tonight.
That’s according to The Athletic, with the outlet sharing what an anonymous academy source has said about the Arsenal teenager.
The Gunners are set to face PSV in the Champions League this evening and Mikel Arteta is expected to make several changes.
Arsenal have already secured their place at the top of their group, qualifying for the knockout stages in the process.
18-year-old defender Reuell Walters is reportedly pushing to make his debut for the club, with Arteta keeping one eye on Sunday’s clash against Brighton.
And fellow academy product Ethan Nwaneri could be in line to make history in the Champions League for Arsenal.

Indeed, if the 16-year-old makes an appearance tonight, he will become the youngest player to represent Arsenal in Europe.
The Athletic notes that Jack Wilshere currently holds the record after featuring against Dynamo Kyiv aged 16 years and 329 days.
And the outlet claims that an academy source has labelled Nwaneri as Arsenal’s best prospect.
Nwaneri tipped as Arsenal’s best academy product
The outlet claims that an anonymous academy source has tipped Nwaneri as the ‘most highly’ of all the youngsters at Arsenal.
It’s noted the source is ‘unequivocal’ that Nwaneri was the most talented youth player they had ever seen at eight years old.
Nwaneri has already made history at Arsenal after becoming the youngest-ever player to feature in a Premier League match last season.
He made his debut against Brentford aged 15 years 181 days back in September last year.

The Englishman hasn’t made an appearance for the first team since but he continues to impress at Under-18s level.
Indeed, Nwaneri netted a staggering five goals against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday night, leading to praise from Edu Gaspar.
It would be brilliant to see the talented midfielder make his Champions League debut tonight and it feels like a decent opportunity for Arteta to hand him some minutes.
Nwaneri has had to wait patiently for another opportunity after making history last season. But it would benefit him massively to rack up some more first-team experience.
