The Arsenal academy has done very well in recent years, producing plenty of top talents that look like they have a bright future in the game.
Bukayo Saka is obviously the poster boy in terms of Gunners academy graduates who’ve become first-team stars.
Then you’ve got valued squad members like Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah, as well as up-and-coming talents like Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Needless to say, Hale End is in great shape at present. And on Saturday, an Arsenal Under-18s talent has got Gunners fans talking thanks to his heroics on the pitch.
Chido Obi-Martin, a 16-year-old forward, scored four goals in an 8-3 hammering of Crystal Palace’s U18s in the U18s Premier League.

It didn’t take long for the goals to start coming in the 11:30am kick-off at the Sobha Realty Training Centre (aka London Colney).
Goals from Osman Kamara, Harrison Dudziak and Chido Obi-Martin had the Gunners 3-0 up inside 18 minutes, before Palace pulled one back through Jesse Derry.
Obi-Martin then scored his second of the day to give Arsenal a 4-1 lead at half-time, but Ben Casey scored early in the second half to make it 4-2.
Obi-Martin then completed his hat-trick and Kamara then got his second for 6-2, before Derry struck again for Palace.
In the latter stages of the game, Obi-Martin scored his fourth for 7-3 and Theo Julienne made it eight right towards the end.
It was a great display for Jack Wilshere’s Under-18s, and Obi-Martin’s goal haul took him to eight goals and two assists from 10 league outings.

Arsenal youth team expert Jeorge Bird has described the Denmark Under-17 ace as a “tall forward”, a “skilful player” and “one of the most exciting players in the Arsenal academy”.
Bird also reported that the teenager has already agreed a scholarship deal at Arsenal ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Obi-Martin famously scored 10 goals for Arsenal’s Under-16s in a 14-3 win over their Liverpool counterparts back in November.
And Gunners legend Wright is quoted by football.london as saying: “Chido Obi-Martin, he’s 15, honestly, he’s like 6 foot 2, he looks really quick.”
The young Arsenal striker is certainly one to watch for the remainder of the season and beyond.
