Matheus Pereira was left out of West Bromwich Albion’s friendly squad again yesterday, amid claims that Leeds United want to sign him.
Notable omission
West Brom played a behind closed doors game against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday afternoon, and Pereira’s absence was notable.
The Daily Express have suggested recently that he is very much a target for Leeds.
And the fact that the 25-year-old is yet to feature for West Brom at all over pre-season does start to suggest that his future could lie elsewhere.
Pereira proved last season that he had Premier League quality despite West Brom’s relegation.
The £15 million-rated playmaker (Daily Star) was a constant source of both goals and assists, with his form seemingly catching the eye of Leeds.

Double Brazilian trouble?
If Marcelo Bielsa could have the creativity of Pereira and Raphinha in his side then Leeds could become an even more exciting prospect to watch.
And it will be interesting to see how the situation develops, with West Brom seemingly planning for the exit of their star man, judging by their pre-season team selections.
