Pape Matar Sarr has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur could win the Premier League title this season.
The £15 million Spurs midfielder has been speaking to The Athletic and was asked about his ambitions for the upcoming campaign.
Tottenham endured a torrid season last time out as they finished outside the European qualification spots in eighth place after Antonio Conte was dismissed towards the end of the campaign.
Ange Postecoglou will be hoping to make some drastic improvements this season as he bids to turn Tottenham’s fortunes around.
The Aussie boss has enjoyed success wherever he’s been as a manager, most recently at Celtic where he lifted a domestic treble.
And Pape Matar Sarr believes Postecoglou could deliver the Premier League title to Tottenham.

Sarr insists Tottenham could win the Premier League
Speaking to The Athletic, Sarr suggested that he believes Spurs could go all the way in the Premier League this season.
“Obviously to create a better season than last year, when we finished outside the Champions League places,” he said.
“We want to finish well in the Premier League and hopefully win it, why not win it?”
Tottenham have been close to lifting the title in recent years, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side mounting a serious assault between 2015 and 2017.
But Spurs have struggled to reach those heights ever since and have been on a steady decline since the Argentine was sacked in 2019.
Nevertheless, they will certainly be hopeful that Postecoglou is the man to guide them back towards the top end of the table.

As for this season, you have to admire Sarr’s ambition but it may be too early for Spurs to be considered genuine contenders.
Postecoglou faces a huge task to turn Spurs’ fortunes around and seems to be at the beginning of a sizeable rebuild.
