Wolverhampton Wanderers fans will no doubt be familiar with the name Anderson Talisca. The Brazilian has long been linked with a move to Molineux, owing to his links with super agent Jorge Mendes.
Indeed, back in the summer of 2016, a deal appeared to be nearing completion. A Bola reported that Benfica and Wolves were ready to conclude a £20 million deal for the player. However, it never came about and Talisca instead headed to Turkey with Benfica.
He thrived in the Super Lig and went on to be a hit with the club’s fans in Istanbul.
This summer, with Wolves promoted, the rumours reemerged but appeared little more than just that. Instead, Talisca headed to China.
He joined big-spending Guangzhou Evergrande on a six-month loan deal back in June and the results have been predictable impressive.

The 24-year-old bagged a hat-trick in his first game for the club and has gone on to score 14 goals and assist five in his 12 appearances for the club.
Wolves fans will rightly feel he is wasting his talent. The Chinese Super League is still far below the Premier League in quality and a player of Talisca’s ability should be testing himself the best week in and week out.
He could have played a role in what is looking like an impressive Wolves side in the Premier League this season. Instead, he has chosen the easy route.
Wolves will feel they are missing out slightly when looking at his current form. But, in reality, the attacker is wasting his talent.
